About PNG to TIFF
Convert PNG to TIFF format
What this tool offers, based on how it actually works.
Small files are often done in seconds; larger files and server-side conversions take longer depending on size and current load.
Files travel over HTTPS. Anything uploaded to our servers is removed by an automated cleanup job; some conversions never leave your browser.
We aim to preserve clarity and layout, but results depend on the formats involved. See the notes on this page for what to expect.
Use it straight from your web browser; there is nothing to install.
Desktop, tablet, or mobile—use the same workflow on any device.
Start converting for free with no account. Paid plans raise limits; see the Pricing page.

Common answers so you can keep moving.
PNG is a lossless raster format that supports full transparency. It suits screenshots, logos and graphics with sharp edges, but photographs make large PNG files. TIFF is a high-quality format used in scanning, publishing and photography. Files are large and browsers do not display them natively.
Some change is possible because PNG and TIFF store data differently. Keep the original file until you have checked the result.

Make sure the file really is PNG (renaming an extension does not change the format) and that it opens correctly on your device. Password-protected or corrupted files are rejected. If the file is very large, try again with a smaller one.
Open the original and the result side by side; differences usually come from features TIFF stores differently.
