About MP3 Converter
Convert audio to MP3 format
What this tool offers, based on how it actually works.
Small files are often done in seconds; larger files and server-side conversions take longer depending on size and current load.
Files travel over HTTPS. Anything uploaded to our servers is removed by an automated cleanup job; some conversions never leave your browser.
We aim to preserve clarity and layout, but results depend on the formats involved. See the notes on this page for what to expect.
Use it straight from your web browser; there is nothing to install.
Desktop, tablet, or mobile—use the same workflow on any device.
Start converting for free with no account. Paid plans raise limits; see the Pricing page.
Three simple steps that fit any workflow.
Drag and drop or browse to add your file. Size and type are checked before it is accepted.
Choose the output format that fits where the file will be used.
Start the conversion and download the result when it is ready.
Jump into common format pairs or switch to a nearby tool when you need it.
Step-by-step instructions for this conversion.
Add your file with the upload area (drag and drop or browse).
Choose the output format from the format list.
Start the conversion and wait for it to finish.
Download the converted file, or convert it again to a different format.
Differences between the two formats that affect the result.
Converting between lossy formats (such as JPG or MP3) and lossless ones cannot restore quality that has already been discarded.
Some conversions are approximate: layout, fonts, animation or transparency may not survive in the target format.

This conversion runs on ToolzStack servers: your file is uploaded, converted, and made available for download, then removed by an automated cleanup job. See the Privacy Policy for retention details.

Common answers so you can keep moving.
The upload area shows which file types are accepted. If a file is rejected, convert it first or check that its extension matches its real type.
Small image conversions can run in your browser; most other conversions are processed on our servers and the file is removed afterwards by an automated cleanup job.
Check that the file opens correctly on your device and is not password protected or corrupted, then try again. Very large files can fail on slow connections; try a smaller file or a different browser.
Different formats store different features. Check whether the target format supports what you used (transparency, animation, fonts) and choose another format if it does not.
