Removing unwanted pages from a PDF is a common need — blank pages inserted by a printer, cover pages you do not want to share, or sections that are not relevant to the recipient. Here is how to do it.
When to Delete Pages from a PDF
- Blank pages: Printers and scanners occasionally insert blank pages at the end of a document or between sections
- Duplicate pages: A merge operation may have included a page twice
- Irrelevant sections: You want to share only specific chapters without sending the full document
- Cover or confidential pages: Remove internal cover pages before external distribution
How to Delete Pages from a PDF
Using PDF Page Remover
- Go to PDF Page Remover
- Upload your PDF
- Enter the page numbers you want to remove (e.g., "3, 7, 12-15")
- Click Remove
- Download the PDF without those pages
Using Organize PDF (for visual selection)
- Go to Organize PDF
- Upload your PDF
- The tool shows all pages as thumbnails
- Click the pages you want to delete to mark them for removal
- Download the result
The Organize PDF approach is better when you need to identify pages visually rather than by number.
Removing Blank Pages
Blank pages are easy to spot visually but tedious to remove one by one in a long document. The fastest approach:
- Open the PDF in your browser and scroll through quickly to note the page numbers of all blank pages
- Use PDF Page Remover and enter all the blank page numbers at once (e.g., "4, 8, 22, 35")
- Download the result
If the blank pages come from an interactive PDF (form fields rendering as blank), flattening the PDF first may resolve the issue before you need to delete anything.
Alternative: Split Out the Pages You Want
Instead of deleting the pages you do not want, you can extract the pages you do want:
- Go to PDF Split
- Upload your PDF
- Enter the page ranges to extract (e.g., "1-5, 10-20")
- Download the extracted pages as a new PDF
This is often faster when the pages you want to keep are in a contiguous range.
